Who IS behind Inked Events?

I wanted to give you a glimpse into I am and what makes me tick. I’m Tracy, Owner & “The Tattooed Planner” (literally & figuratively) of Inked Events. The name of my business came to me in a dream because it really speaks to who I am & what I represent.

Three things you should know about me… I absolutely LOVE Shoes, Tattoos & Weddings! And no, they are not in any particular order.

I’m a big believer that the universe sends you “signs”and that sometimes you see them and other times, you just might not be open to them. After a difficult 2012, where I left my corporate job of 13 years to make a career change that would allow me to work for a more established wedding planner, I got laid off two months later. Yep, the universe was certainly sending me some BIG signs there! I looked at it that now, my two biggest fears are gone and I could focus on MY brand. The universe has lead me on a path that allows me to embrace my love of weddings & tattoos while still being true to myself.

I always wanted a tattoo and got my first one when I was 18 years old. I’m now in the double digits with the amount I have of them. I don’t “look” like the type of person that has any, so I’m sure it’ll be a shock when you learn just how many I actually do have. I’m not saying how many I have here, so when our paths cross, you’ll be curious enough to ask me “how many tattoos do you have?”.

For that last few years, I’ve been getting inked on my birthday. I’m not sure how that tradition started, but I feel it’s a great present to myself. I put a lot of thought into each & every one of them since they all have a special meaning & story behind it.

I truly love when I see a bride show off her tattoos on her wedding. It’s such a representaion of who they are as a person and as a couple. Thanks to Allebach Photography for the gorgeous picture!

I even decided to show off mine on my wedding day!

When I was looking to find a picture from my wedding day that it was showing, I realized that my professional photographer didn’t capture many pictures of it! Thankfully a friend got the one above. My original photographer didn’t really “get” us, so on our 5 year anniversary, we decided to have a “Take Two” shoot. My hubs & I are pretty laid back and definitely don’t take life too seriously. We’re just two goofballs! We love to laugh and make fun of ourselves! Thanks Black Thumb Studio for my gorgeous updated pictures!

I’ll be honest, I actually did plan on covering up my armband on my wedding day, but the universe had different plans for me. The makeup that we were going to use wouldn’t stay on and it just didn’t look natural, so I decided to just scrap the idea and let it show! I’m glad I did because it’s a part of who I am and should be shown off.

I see tattoos as a beautiful piece of art and they can really tell a story about a person, so that’s why I want to cater to the tattooed couple and be known as “The Tattooed Planner”. I wouldn’t judge a couple who has tattoos, I’d embrace them! Another gorgeous shot from Allebach Photography.

Shoes are my other big love. Yeah, I really do get all giddy about shoes and my closet is certainly full of different styles. I was excited to find these beauties for my “Take Two” shoot with Black Thumb Studio!
