Reason #2 Timeline 

A Wedding Planner, worth her salt, will create a detailed timeline to share with you and your vendors, but will be the one to execute it. An experienced Planner will know what works and what doesn’t based on the layout of the location{s}. A timeline serves as a flowchart, keeping track of ALL the important details, including where the key people {including vendors} should be at all points during the wedding & that even includes before the ceremony. They know every moving piece and are on top of it all, you truly do not have to worry about a thing.


Reason #3 Knowledge, Training and Credentials

While our industry is not regulated by licenses or degrees, knowing your Professional Wedding Planner is certified and well educated on the latest trends, should give you the confidence that they have taken the time to learn about weddings & business. This isn't a hobby for them, it is their livelihood & they take it very seriously. Our motto is we only have one shot at this, we have to get it right! There are no do overs!


For instance, I am a Certified Wedding Planner and credentialed as a Professional Wedding Planner™ through the national organization, Association of Bridal Consultants; which I've been a proud member since I began my career in 2009.


As mentioned, there’s no license or specific degree to become a wedding planner, however some planners do complete a certification course; others will apprentice under an experienced planner to gain their experience or do both. No matter which route we take, we all strive to have knowledge of budgets, timelines, vendors and contracts. My staff and I are constantly updating our skills and keeping up with new trends, meeting new vendors and understanding any state/local regulations.

I’m the “other” best friend. We build our relationship over the course of the planning process, so I will have intimate knowledge of your wedding. I want to hear about the details of your wedding and what else is going on in your life. I'm just as excited about your wedding as you are and I will help you with any questions you may have and guide you in the right direction.


Whether I've worked with your vendor team before or not, I always develop a relationship with each one of the vendors so I can coordinate a day that is seamless and perfect. It's a team effort and I make sure we're all on the same page. We take care of the behind-the-scenes details, so you don’t have to.
